Note Omnistudio Migration Assistant does not support migrating Omni Global Auto Numbers if you’re migrating from Omnistudio Foundation package and standard data model to the Omnistudio standard runtime.

**Where:** This feature is available in all Salesforce editions.

**Who:** This feature is available to Omnistudio customers who are migrating from Vlocity Industries managed package or Omnistudio Foundation package with custom or standard data model to the Omnistudio standard runtime.

**Why:** Use the Omnistudio Migration Assistant to streamline and accelerate your migration process. The Omnistudio Migration Assistant offers these key benefits:

- Automates complex migration tasks and reduces manual efforts.
- Ensures configuration consistency across environments.
- Replaces legacy wrappers with standard runtime wrappers.
- Updates namespace references and cleans record names automatically.
- Validates components with built-in checks and detailed assessment and migration reports.
- Identifies components that are ready for migration, require manual action, or are skipped or failed, all in one place.

**How:** To use the Omnistudio Migration Assistant, first install the tool using Salesforce CLI. Then, run the tool in Assess mode in your testing and production sandboxes to evaluate your org’s migration readiness and generate an assessment report. Carefully review the reports and resolve any issues identified. After you address all the pre-migration issues, run the tool in Migrate mode to automatically migrate your components to the standard data model and Omnistudio standard runtime. After the migration completes, review the migration reports to verify that your components are successfully migrated and are functioning as expected.
