# Verify Nonprofit Tax Status with a Modernized API Integration

The Grants Management tax status search glossary now protects the stability of your due diligence tools by using the latest direct-to-provider API model. This new system provides a more efficient way to get essential compliance data. Your users retain the same familiar experience while benefiting from a more secure and sustainable technical architecture.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Professional, Unlimited, and Developer editions where Grants Management is enabled.

**How:** From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Remote, and select **Remote Site Settings**. Add a remote site for the Candid Premier API URL (https://api.candid.org/premier/v4/).
