# Simplify Data Interactions with State Managers for LWC (Generally Available)

Group and manage data and its related logic more effectively within your apps with state managers. This feature, which is now generally available, includes some changes since the beta release.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in all editions.

Note State managers aren’t available in Experience Cloud.

**Why:** State management in Lightning Web Components (LWC) helps you group and manage data and its related logic more effectively within your apps. A state manager provides a structured way to handle application state, making it easier to share data across components, manage complex data interactions, and separate data concerns from presentation logic.

Using state managers, pro-code developers can decouple data-related concerns from component logic. Moving data access out of individual components and into a dedicated state layer helps the Salesforce platform manage data more efficiently. This separation is especially useful for complex applications with many synchronized components, as data is managed separately from user interface concerns.

**How:** State management is described in detail in the Lightning Web Components Developer Guide. The documentation is expanded from the beta, and includes additional code examples. The list of built-in state managers is changed in Summer ’26. Details of built-in state managers are available in [`lightning/stateManager*` State Managers](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/lwc/guide/reference-state-managers.html).
