Preview Features with Salesforce Release Manager (Beta)

With Salesforce Release Manager, your organization can preview and test upcoming features in sandboxes by using the Development (Dev) channel. Salesforce Release Manager accelerates innovation, improves long-term quality, and provides you with greater control over feature consumption. Your feedback helps us improve the feature quality and shape the future of the product.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience, Experience Builder sites, and all versions of the mobile app in all editions.

Note
Note Salesforce Release Manager is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

How: To view available channels, from Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Salesforce Release Manager, and then select Settings. On the Salesforce Release Manager Settings page, select one of these channels:

  • Development (Dev) channel: Preview and test features that are in active development. The Dev channel is available in sandboxes only. Features in this channel can lack accessibility requirements and documentation. Features that are released in the Dev channel will be available in the Standard channel when they are stable. You can override the default enablement state for individual features in the Salesforce Release Manager Settings page.
  • Standard channel: An org uses the Standard channel by default. The production environment receives a major update every four months and weekly patch updates.

After you select the Dev channel, follow the on-screen instructions and then refresh your browser to start using the features. You can switch back to the Standard channel at any time.

When you’re on the Dev channel, your org shows a different Salesforce logo.

Load Large Lists Dynamically (Developer Preview)
Handle massive amounts of data without slowing down your web browser. Whether you’re showing 50 or 5,000 items, dynamic lists offer a smooth user experience by using virtualization to render items as you scroll.
Get Better Right-to-Left Support
Enjoy better right-to-left (RTL) support in Lightning Experience for orgs that use an RTL language like Arabic or Hebrew.
Improve Encapsulation in Base Components with Internal Method Changes
Salesforce is updating the internal implementation of several base Lightning components to use private methods. This effort aligns with modern web standards and doesn't impact the public API of the base components.
