# Lightning Types

With Lightning Types, you can define the data structures that drive custom components and structure Agentforce responses. Use these types to customize user interfaces in Agentforce and other supported Salesforce applications for consistent, platform-wide interactions.

- **[Build Mobile Experiences with Custom Lightning Types](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lt_mobile_metadata.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
The Agentforce Mobile SDK now supports custom Lightning types. Use these types to structure, validate, and display complex agent data in your mobile apps—giving you more control over how information appears to users.
- **[Assign Custom Lightning Types to the Agentforce Mobile SDK](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lt_mobile_setup.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Define custom Lightning types for the Agentforce Mobile SDK to control how agent data is structured and displayed in your mobile apps. Create and manage these types by using the Lightning Types Setup UI.
- **[Preview Lightning Type Components Using Live Preview](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lt_preview_comp.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
You can now use Live Preview to see Lightning web components in real time when building custom UI editors and renderers for Lightning types. With the Salesforce Live Preview extension in VS Code, you can preview and test UI changes directly in your workspace.
- **[Generate Custom Lightning Type Bundles with Agentforce Vibes Skills](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lt_skills.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Agentforce Vibes now includes a built-in Salesforce skill that helps you generate custom Lightning type metadata faster. It can draft your schema.json and, when you need custom behavior, generate editor.json and renderer.json files for your Lightning web components. This reduces manual setup and helps you configure custom editors and renderers more consistently.
- **[Customize Custom Lightning Type Output with HXL Widgets (Beta)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lt_widgets.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Custom Lightning types now support widgets for output customization, expanding beyond Lightning Web Components (LWCs). Create a renderer UI that works across Salesforce apps and on third-party platforms through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
