  • Loyalty Management Features Released by Month
Loyalty Management features and changes are released as often as monthly, so check back again soon for the latest updates.
  • Trace Points and Create Subtypes for Activity-Based Currencies
Identify accrual transactions that act as the source of points consumed during redemptions for currencies with the activity-based expiration model. By linking these transactions, you can track liability across various promotions and partners. You can also create currency subtypes to control which points are accrued or redeemed. Previously, you were able to trace points and create subcurrencies only for currencies with the fixed-duration expiration model.
  • Find and Understand Traceability Settings Easily with Updated Labels
To improve discoverability and better align with the latest Loyalty Management capabilities, traceability setting names and descriptions have been updated.
  • Define Eligible Activities to Extend Activity-Based Points Validity
Specify the eligible activities that extend the point validity of activity-based, redeemable currencies by using journal types and subtypes. For example, extend members’ activity dates when there are transactions only with the Accrual type and the Purchase subtype. The Data Processing Engine definition, Identify and Update Activity Dates for Loyalty Program Members, uses these records to calculate and update members' point expiration dates.
  • Provide Members More Time to Use Activity-Based Points
Provide members more flexibility by adding a grace period to their point expiration dates, or by exempting points from expiration. Define reinstatement windows so your customer service representatives can easily reinstate points that expired within a time frame. Define different grace periods and reinstatement windows based on currency type and tier.
  • Validate Loyalty Program Data Integrity
Identify discrepancies in your imported data by running prebuilt Data Processing Engine definitions. Use the definitions to validate member point balances and loyalty ledger traceability records for redeemable points with a fixed-duration expiry model.
  • Control Tier Expiration with Custom Dates and Formulas
To reward achievements such as joining a partner program, you can now upgrade members to higher tiers for a specific duration. When using the Change Member Tier process template or the Change Tier invocable action, loyalty program managers and admins can manually set an expiration date or use a formula to calculate one dynamically.
  • Speed Up Google Wallet Integration by Using the Android SDK Sample App
Use the updated reference app in the Android mobile SDK to quickly deploy Google Wallet functionality for your loyalty program. From the My Profile page of the app, members can now link their membership cards to their Google Wallet accounts by using the Add to Google Wallet button. After linking, the app automatically syncs vouchers associated with the membership cards to their Google Wallet accounts.
  • Monitor Loyalty Program Performance Using Tableau Next Dashboards
Provide your loyalty program managers with actionable insights to help them increase memberships and improve program processes. Program managers can now track critical metrics, such as point balances and revenue, by using the Tableau Next agentic analytics solution. While these capabilities were previously available in CRM Analytics, they are now delivered through Tableau Next to improve scalability and provide expanded functionality.
  • Track Loyalty Points with Improved Precision
Loyalty Management now shows points rounded half up to four decimal places in Salesforce UI fields and rule actions. This change reduces cumulative rounding discrepancies to provide the high precision required by industries such as retail and financial services. The enhanced precision is also beneficial for programs supporting multiple currencies and complex point conversions. The actual stored values remain unchanged, and underlying calculations aren’t affected.
  • Track Loyalty Promotion Effectiveness with Interactive Tableau Next Dashboards
Evaluate promotion effectiveness, member participation, and financial liabilities by using the new in-app and embedded Tableau Next dashboards. While these dashboards were previously available in CRM Analytics, they are now delivered through Tableau Next to improve scalability and provide expanded functionality.
