# Accelerate Your Transition to Unified Employee Licensing with Bulk Migration

Transition your existing employee users from Customer Community Plus (CCP) licenses to the Unified Employee License (UEL) at scale. Use the bulk migration tool to move all your employees in one operation instead of updating them individually while preserving existing user IDs and record ownership. Perform mandatory pre-migration validations, map existing CCP profiles to new Unified Employee profiles, and track progress through status reports. Note that this change is permanent, and once the migration process begins, you can no longer create new users with CCP profiles.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

**Why:** Simplify your identity architecture and eliminate the complexity of managing parallel licensing models for the same persona. Migrating to a single license type reduces data inconsistencies and ensures employees have a consistent experience when requesting services across your organization.

**How:** From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter and select **Unified Employee License Migration** and turn on **Unified Employee License Migraton**.
