# Reinstate Canceled Policies in Insurance Brokerage

Restore canceled policies directly from the policy record and resume coverage from a specified date. The Reinstate action creates a new policy version based on the last canceled state, helping you quickly recover policies while maintaining continuity and audit history.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions of Insurance Brokerage.

**How:** From the insurance policy record page, click Reinstate or invoke the Reinstate API to restore a canceled policy. The system creates a new policy version with coverage effective from the reinstatement date through the original policy term. A corresponding transaction is generated to reflect the financial impact of reinstating the policy.
