# Changed Connect REST APIs in Digital Insurance

Enhance underwriting process by defining rule-specific details in the request to target precise constraints for insurance product clauses and control how underwriting rules are evaluated.

## Changed Connect REST API Request Bodies

These request bodies have these new properties.

Insurance Create Underwriting Rules Input

`ruleKey`—Key of the variable defined in CML (Constraint Modeling Language) that represents the constraint for the insurance product clause. If not specified, the API generates the rule key based on the defined product clause.

Insurance Underwriting Rule Group Input

`ruleEngineType`—Engine type to use for underwriting rules, such as Business Rule Engine or Constraint Engine.

Product Surcharge Post Input

`sequenceNumber`—Order in which surcharges are calculated when multiple surcharges are applied to a product.

Product Surcharge Patch Input

`sequenceNumber`—Order in which surcharges are calculated when multiple surcharges are applied to a product.

## Changed Connect REST API Response Body

This response body have these new properties.

Insurance Underwriting Rule Result

`evaluationFailureTaskGroup`—Identifier for the FulfillmentStepDefinitionGroup that's executed when the rule result fails.

`evaluationSuccessTaskGroup`—Identifier for the FulfillmentStepDefinitionGroup that's executed when the rule evaluates successfully.

`lineItemDetails`—Details of the policy line items on which the rule executed successfully.

`lineItemIds`—IDs of the policy line items on which the rule executed successfully.
