Move a policy to a new carrier or a different account for the same carrier at renewal without canceling and reissuing.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions where Financial Services Cloud and Insurance Brokerage are enabled.
When: This feature is available starting the week of August 3, 2026.
Why: Previously, Writing Carrier Account was read-only in the renew workflow. Now, you can change the writing carrier during renewal without canceling and reissuing the policy.
How: In the renew workflow, update Writing Carrier Account before you complete the renewal. Renewal APIs and invocable actions also accept the new writing carrier account.
