Use the Headless Experience Layer (HXL) to single-source rich UI widgets that render natively on target surfaces to meet users where they are. Author a widget declaratively, bind it to a Custom Lightning Type, and configure a hosted Model Context Protocol server to enrich conversations across external AI agents.
Present the structured output from a supported Agentforce action as an HXL widget in Agentforce conversations instead of using the default output presentation. In addition to using a Lightning web component UI override, a custom Lightning type can use an HXL widget as its renderer. Add buttons that invoke configured actions, such as sending follow-up requests to the agent.
