# Migrate from Work.com to HR Service with Data Processing Engine

Transition from Work.com to HR Service using a guided migration tool powered by the Data Processing Engine. This opt-in migration preserves your existing Work.com data while creating new Employee2 records, enabling phased rollout and dual data model coexistence. The migration retains Platform User License (PUL) mappings and maintains organizational hierarchy through integrated manager provisioning.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with HR Service.

**Who:** This migration is available to Work.com customers using Lightning Platform Starter (LPS) or Lightning Platform Plus (LPP) SKUs with the AI Agent for Employee add-on.

**Why:** HR Service represents a comprehensive redesign of Work.com, offering a unified employee experience with modern features including the Unified Employee Portal, HR Service Desk, Agentforce Agents, and integrated Service Catalog. The dual data model strategy allows you to migrate to HR Service while preserving legacy Work.com objects as historical records. Manager assignments and organizational hierarchy are automatically maintained through backend foreign-key lookups and integrated provisioning batch jobs.
