# Automate Prior Authorization Necessity Checks

Save time and accelerate patient care by automatically verifying if prior authorization is required for a referral. Referral intake coordinators can now focus their expertise on patients, as the integration automatically manages clinical service request prior authorization necessity verification. This simplified process elevates efficiency, making sure that patients receive care quickly.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with the Health Cloud add-on license.

**When:** This feature is available starting in June 2026.

**How:** On the Referral Management Settings page in Setup, complete the guided setup step for Set Up Eligibility, Benefits Verification, and Prior Authorization Processes.
