# Turn Web Traffic into Actionable Insights with Web Tracking

Build a more insightful picture of your customers' journeys by tracking engagement from both internal and external web pages. By capturing real-time visitor activities, you can build high-intent segments and deliver more personalized marketing experiences.

**Where:** This change applies to [supported editions for Salesforce Foundations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.base_editions.htm&language=en_US).

**How:** To add tracking and a consent banner to your landing pages, review your consent banner settings, then add the banner integration to your Marketing Landing Pages site. To track activity on a landing page that uses a custom domain, add a custom URL for that domain in Setup and define the path as `/lp`. To set up external tracking, create a website connector, and then create the embed code that you add to your external site.
