General Enhancements

Summer ’26 gives you more reasons to love Lightning Experience.

  • Turn Every Search into Action with Agentforce Coworker (Generally Available)
Agentforce Coworker is generally available starting in August 2026. Your autonomous AI teammate immediately knows your business, is connected to Salesforce CRM, and can connect to Slack and Data 360 objects - all while maintaining your existing governance, permission-based access, and data classification. Agentforce Coworker also acts on your behalf by orchestrating agents, completing complex tasks, and driving work forward from wherever you work.
  • Rotate Your Certificates More Frequently
If you use features that rely on certificates, update the related certificates more frequently. An industry-wide change decreases the maximum allowed Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificate lifespan over the next 3 years. As of March 15, 2026, the maximum lifespan for new certificates is 200 days. Also, Salesforce plans to stop public certificate rotation announcements on July 6, 2026.
  • Validate Domain Information More Often
If you use features that rely on certificates, prepare to perform Domain Control Validation (DCV) more often. An upcoming industry-wide change decreases the maximum domain validation reuse period of time for Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificates over the next 3 years. As of March 15, 2026, the maximum period for domain validation reuse for new certificates is 200 days.
  • Update Your mTLS Certificates
If you use publicly trusted certificates for mTLS (Mutual Transport Layer Security) and the Public Root CA (Certificate Authority) is in the Chrome Trusted Root List, transition to separate certificate hierarchies. Google Chrome is enforcing policy changes that limit the use of those certificates to only TLS (Transport Layer Security) server authentication.
  • Turn Every Search into Action with Agentforce Coworker (Beta)
Agentforce Coworker is your autonomous AI teammate that immediately knows your business. It’s connected to Salesforce CRM and can connect to Slack and Data 360 objects, while maintaining your existing governance, permission-based access, and data classification. Agentforce Coworker also acts on your behalf by orchestrating agents, completing complex tasks, and driving work forward from wherever you work.
  • Get Ready for IPv6
To help mitigate the IP address scarcity of IPv4, Salesforce is working behind the scenes to support IPv6. If you use IP allowlists to restrict network traffic or access to Salesforce, prepare for this change. Use a preferred alternative such as domain allowlists, or update your allowlists to include IPv6 addresses.
  • Find and Deploy Solutions Easily with Category Tags and Guided Selection
Identify solutions that are best suited to your business by using the category tags. The Jumpstart tag represents solutions that provide everything needed to get started on Day 1, while solutions tagged as Accelerator provide feature metadata. Data Pack solutions provide supplemental data, including sample data and templates. Tailor solutions to your business needs by selecting which features and datasets to install.
  • Chatter Is Turned Off by Default in New Orgs
In Salesforce orgs that are created in Summer ’26 and later, Chatter is turned off by default. If you have features that require access to Chatter functionality or APIs, enable Chatter in Setup. For example, turn on Chatter to use Case Feed, include Chatter in an Experience Cloud site, or use Chatter in orgs where Slack is unsupported. This change doesn’t affect orgs created before Summer ’26.
  • Enable Accessibility Enhancements for Page Headers and Modal Windows When Zoom Is Greater Than 200% (Release Update)
To help meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 for Resize and Reflow, enable Lightning Experience to adapt the behavior of page headers and modal windows when viewed at high magnification. This is the beginning of our effort to comply with WCAG 2.2 Resize and Reflow guidelines. Expect accessibility enhancements to other UI elements in future release updates. This update was first available in Summer ’25 and was scheduled to be enforced in Summer ’26, but we postponed the enforcement date to Winter ’27.
  • Enable Accessibility Enhancements for Date Pickers, Popovers, Bottom Utility Bars, Record Headers (Release Update)
