# Connect Referrals to the Right Specialist with Assignment Rules

Route each referral to the right specialist based on a client's specific financial need. Set up assignment rules declaratively — no custom code required. The assignment engine evaluates rules in the sort order you define and assigns the referral to the first matching specialist, preventing routing conflicts.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce Financial Services (formerly Financial Services Cloud).

**How:** From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search and select **Intelligent Referral Management**. Click **Referral Assignment Rules**, and then click **New Assignment Rule**.
