# New Scheduling Console

Keep your dispatching experience seamless, accessible, and high-performing with the New Scheduling Console.

- **[Create Custom Dispatcher Actions with Flows and Components](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_custom_dispatcher_actions.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Streamline dispatcher operations by building tailored Scheduling Console actions with screen flows, autolaunched flows, and Lightning web components. Continue using your existing Apex and Visualforce actions, or use flows to automate processes and Lightning Web Components to create custom experiences.
- **[Dispatch and Schedule in Right-to-Left Languages](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_rtl_languages.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Right-to-left (RTL) languages, such as Arabic and Hebrew, are now supported in the Scheduling Console, so dispatchers can work in their preferred language without changing their natural reading patterns. The console automatically mirrors navigation, menus, and Gantt elements to match RTL reading patterns, while maintaining text alignment and full support for all core Scheduling Console features.
- **[Use the Scheduling Console Without Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_without_eso.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Dispatchers can now work in the Scheduling Console even if Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization isn’t enabled in your org. They can perform core scheduling operations from the list view or Gantt, find candidates, drag appointments to reschedule, and use Global, In-Day, and Resource Schedule Optimization. Features that rely on Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization—such as HERE Maps routing, Complex Work, Multi-Day Work, and Dynamic Gantt actions (Fix Overlaps, Fill-In Schedule, Group Nearby, and Reshuffle)—aren’t supported. Previously, the Scheduling Console required Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization.
- **[Transform Your Scheduling Experience with the New Scheduling Console](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Empower your team to manage complex Field Service scheduling operations with an intuitive and sleek console built on Lightning Web Components for peak usability and productivity. Designed to reduce cognitive load, this high-performance interface supports multi-screen configurations, ensuring your dispatchers stay efficient, focused, and responsive. The scheduling console is also available to Experience Cloud site users.
- **[Manage Service Appointments Without Leaving the New Scheduling Console](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_appt_side_panel.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
View and edit appointment details from the Service Appointment side panel within the Scheduling Console while keeping the Gantt and appointment list in full view. From the panel you can browse information such as appointment details, parent record fields, related lists, and scheduling history across organized tabs. You can also edit fields inline or open the panel directly in edit mode, making it easier to manage appointments during active scheduling.
- **[Gain Insights into Every Optimization Run with Key Metrics in the New Scheduling Console](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_optimization_metrics.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Review before-and-after metrics in the optimization results panel for Resource Schedule Optimization, In-Day Optimization, and Global Optimization. Get an instant view of how scheduled appointments, utilization, and average travel time changed as a result of each run.
- **[Schedule Service Appointments Visually in the New Scheduling Console by Dragging From the Map](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_map_drag_and_drop.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Drag unscheduled service appointments from the map directly onto the Gantt to bring geographic context to your visual scheduling. Open the map alongside the Gantt in the Scheduling Console, or spread them across dual monitors for a flexible setup across screens.
- **[Keep Routes Efficient by Comparing Multiple Resources on the Map in the New Scheduling Console](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_multiple_routes_and_resources.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
View multiple service resource routes at once to fix route conflicts before they happen and ensure resources follow their daily plan. Select resources by name or service territory from the map, or multi-select them from the Gantt to display their routes. You can view and compare the routes of up to 50 service resources simultaneously.
- **[Give Dispatchers a Full-Screen View of the Scheduling Console Map in Experience Cloud](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_experience_cloud_map_support.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Free up screen space for your dispatchers by adding the Scheduling Console map to a dedicated page in your Experience Builder site. They can then open the map in a separate browser tab. The map stays fully synchronized with the Gantt and service appointment list, even when open in a separate tab.
- **[Tailor the Scheduling Console to Your Team's Workflow from One Settings Page](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_settings_page.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Customize the Scheduling Console to give dispatchers the tools they need to work efficiently, directly from the Scheduling Console Settings page. Manage visibility, actions, layout, and scheduling behavior in a single place, without switching between multiple setup areas. You can adjust Gantt visibility, add custom actions for records and specific console sections, configure the service appointment layout, and manage scheduling behavior settings.
- **[Adapt the Scheduling Console to Your Workflows with Custom Actions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_custom_actions.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Give dispatchers quick access to org-specific automations and workflows from multiple locations in the Scheduling Console, including the Gantt, service appointment list, and map. Configure interactive or background actions that launch a Lightning Web Component, run a flow, call an Apex class, or open a Visualforce page.
- **[Work Faster in the Scheduling Console with Gantt Enhancements](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_262_scheduling_console_gantt_enhancements.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Get more done in the Scheduling Console without switching contexts. You can star service territories for quick access, enable appointment snapping to align dragged appointments precisely, view a resource's online status from the service resource popover, and create resource absences from the service resource popover or action bar. Appointment snapping and resource online status require admin configuration in Scheduling Console Settings.
