# Improve Schedule Accuracy with Customizable Travel Time Estimates for Trucks

Enhance scheduling precision and tailor how your mobile workers navigate unique routes by applying a Travel Time Scaling Factor to your truck travel mode profiles. While standard truck routing provides a robust foundation, this enhancement lets you fine-tune travel estimates for commercial vehicles based on your specific operational conditions, such as slower acceleration, lower speed limits, and complex road conditions. Align your commercial vehicle ETAs with real-world travel times to suit your needs for better customer satisfaction.

**Where:** This feature is available in Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with the Field Service managed package installed.

**How:** In Setup, go to Field Service Settings and verify that Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization is enabled. On the Travel Modes tab, create or edit a Light Truck or Heavy Truck profile. Enter a **Travel Time Scaling Factor** between 0.1 and 10. For example, a factor of 1.2 increases estimated travel time by 20%, while 0.9 decreases it by 10%.
