# Improve Schedule Recommendations with the Appointment Insights API (Generally Available)

Understand why a service appointment can’t be scheduled during optimization and which work rules are preventing its scheduling with the Appointment Insights API. The new getAppointmentInsights Apex method, under the ScheduleService Apex class, returns data about why a specific service appointment can’t be scheduled on the Gantt, helping you fine-tune your scheduling policy.

**Where:** This feature is available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions.
