Author Prompts Faster with the Block Editor (Beta)

Work more efficiently with the new Block Editor for Prompt Builder. The Block Editor provides a visual, block-based authoring experience with keyboard shortcuts, copy/paste functionality, and intuitive navigation. Create and organize complex prompts faster using drag-to-select, multi-block selection, arrow key navigation, and quick keyboard commands for common actions like save, preview, and version control.

Note: This release is in preview. Features described in this document don't become generally available until the latest general availability date that Salesforce announces for this release. Before then, and where features are noted as beta, pilot, or developer preview, we can't guarantee general availability within any particular time frame or at all. Make your purchase decisions only on the basis of generally available products and features.

When: This feature is available starting the week of June 8, 2026.

Why: The Block Editor makes prompt authoring faster and more intuitive. Power users can leverage keyboard shortcuts and copy/paste to rapidly build and iterate on prompts, while the visual block structure keeps complex prompts organized and easy to understand. Combined with keyboard shortcuts, you can create, test, and manage prompts without ever leaving your keyboard.

How: To enable the block editor, from Prompt Builder Settings, Turn on the Conditional Logic for Prompt Templates (Beta) toggle. While working in the editor, use standard keyboard shortcuts (Cmd+c or Ctrl+c, Cmd+v or Ctrl+v, Cmd+a or Ctrl+a) and mouse gestures to efficiently copy, paste, select, and navigate between blocks.
