# Create Prompt Templates with AI Assist (Beta)

Build prompt templates faster using generative AI with AI Assist in Prompt Builder. Describe what you want your prompt to accomplish in natural language, and AI Assist creates a structured Jinja-based prompt template with recommended inputs and grounding data.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Foundations and the Agentforce for Sales or Service add-on, or included in Agentforce 1 Editions. Generative AI is available in Lightning Experience.

Note: This release is in preview. Features described in this document don't become generally available until the latest general availability date that Salesforce announces for this release. Before then, and where features are noted as beta, pilot, or developer preview, we can't guarantee general availability within any particular time frame or at all. Make your purchase decisions only on the basis of generally available products and features.

**When:** This feature is available starting the week of June 29, 2026.

**Why:** Creating effective prompts requires understanding best practices, proper formatting, and domain expertise. Many users struggle with where to start when building a new prompt template. AI Assist gets you into the builder faster by creating structured prompts based on your description, eliminating the need to manually set up inputs or start from scratch. The AI-created prompts serve as a starting point that you can customize.

**How:** From Prompt Builder, click **New Prompt Template**, and then select **Draft with AI**. Describe what you want your prompt to do — for example, _Draft a summary for my account_. You can also add resources like Account directly in the composer, which automatically creates template inputs. Click **Next**, and then click **Draft with AI** to create your prompt.

Review the draft in the canvas and click the checkmark at the bottom to accept all changes, or use **Draft with AI** to provide additional instructions — for example, _Make the tone casual_. Changes appear with green highlighting for additions and red for removals. Accept or discard changes using the controls at the bottom of the screen.
