Easily read and write your agent's instructions with Markdown in Canvas view. Use Markdown syntax or keyboard shortcuts to add formatting to instructions, such as headers, bold, italic, numbered and bulleted lists, and horizontal dividers. Previously, Markdown appeared as plain text in Canvas view.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Foundations or Agentforce 1 editions.
When: This change is available starting the week of August 17, 2026.
How: In Agentforce Builder, open your agent and then select a page that includes instructions. You can add up to three levels of headers, bold, italics, numbered lists, bulleted lists, and horizontal dividers with Markdown. For example, to bold text, enter ** before and after the text.
