Add after reasoning instructions, reference system variables, and avoid overwriting a teammate's work in Canvas view. After reasoning instructions shape what happens once the agent resolves the subagent. For example, you can format the response or call another action. You now see system variables, including current connection and current modality, alongside your agent's custom and context variables. And the builder now tells you when it detects simultaneous edits to the same agent version.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Foundations or Agentforce 1 editions.
When: This change is available starting the week of August 17, 2026.
How: Open an agent in Agentforce Builder. To add instructions that run after reasoning, enter / and then select After Reasoning. To reference a system variable, enter / and then select Variables. System variables appear in the list, including current connection, current modality, and current datetime.
