Spend less time writing agent-level instructions with a dedicated page in Canvas view. You can also add variables to agent-level instructions and format them with Markdown.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Foundations or Agentforce 1 editions.
When: This change is available starting the week of August 3, 2026.
How: In Agentforce Builder, open your agent. On the Explorer panel, select Agent-Level Instructions and then enter instructions in the System Instructions section. To reference variables, enter @ and then select a variable from the resource picker.
