# Unify Institutional Data with Semantic Model Updates

Maintain a trusted view of student, academic, and advancement data across your institution. Coordinated updates to Education semantic models equip your teams to adopt new data structures and standardized definitions. Establish a reliable, institution-wide foundation for consistent reporting, trusted insights, and AI-ready data. The semantic data model is now available in a data kit and with your Tableau Next app.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions where the Education Cloud and Data 360 licenses are enabled. To install the semantic data model with the Tableau Next app, a Tableau Next license is also required.

**Who:**

Users with these permission sets can create and maintain the semantic model by using the Education data kit.

- Education Cloud Full Access
- Data Cloud Architect

Users with these permission sets can install the Tableau Next app.

- Education Cloud Full Access
- Data Cloud Architect
- Tableau Next Admin
