# Manage Financial Aid Data with the Education Data Kit

Establish a centralized data management system for student financial aid records using Education Data Kit, which includes seven new Data Model Objects (DMOs). The new DMOs solve the problem of fragmented financial aid data, providing students and staff a unified view to help with financial aid decisions. Use the DMOs with the new financial aid insights Lightning web components to enable users to track the status of applications and disbursements at a glance.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions where the Education Cloud license and the applicable Data 360 add-on license are enabled.

**When:** The new data model objects are generally available starting in August 2026.

**How:** In Data 360, populate the following DMOs with your institutional data:

- **Benefit Disbursement Period:** Represents the period of time that a disbursement is applicable to.
- **Learner Financial Aid Standing:** Represents a learner's academic standing.

- **Learner Cost Item:** Represents a line item that is part of a learner's total estimated costs such as tuition, housing, and transportation fees.
- **Benefit Disbursement Hold:** Represents a hold on a benefit disbursement.
- **Required Document:** Represents a document that's required for a given benefit assignment.
