Students can narrow down options and register for the right courses efficiently.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions where the Education Cloud license is enabled.
Who:
- Users with the Education Cloud Full Access permission set can turn on Advanced Academic Operations and assign permission sets to student users.
- Users with the Education Cloud Advanced Academic Operations Admin Access permission set can edit relevant objects.
- Users with the Education Cloud for Experience Cloud permission set and unauthenticated guest users can search for courses on the Experience Cloud site.
- Users with the Education Cloud Advanced Academic Operations for Experience Cloud Access and the Education Cloud for Experience Cloud permission sets, and the Access Education Cloud Advanced Academic Operations for Experience Cloud Users user permission can register for courses on the Experience Cloud site.
How: The Summer '26 release includes a new Availability Status field on the Course Offering object to improve search accuracy. Populate this field on your existing records by Winter '27 to avoid inaccurate statuses or registration errors. This record update makes sure that Advanced Search returns accurate results for course offerings created before the Summer '26 release.
