# Improve Semantic Search with the Latest CMS Base Data Kit and Search Index

Deploy the 2.0 version of the CMS Base data kit to improve AI-powered search results. The latest version contains a new content taxonomy transform, and it builds a search index based on taxonomy terms. This search index enables AI-powered search to find tagged CMS media content when the tag matches the semantic meaning of the search keyword. Previously, these searches returned media content when only its metadata, such as its title, semantically matched the search keyword.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in all editions supported by Data 360. See [Data 360 edition availability](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_dc_editions.htm&language=en_US&type=5).

**When:** This feature is available starting August 3, 2026.

**How:** From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter CMS and select **CMS Base Data Kit**. Select a data space. If the data kit version is 1.0, include the Content Taxonomy bundle and click **Deploy** to update to version 2.0.

After deployment, go to Advanced Settings, turn on the Search Indexes setting if it’s not on already, and then save your changes. When you save, Salesforce builds new search indexes based on media content metadata and content taxonomy.
