# Federate Data from AWS Glue Data Catalog (Generally Available)

Use the AWS Glue Data Catalog connector to federate data from either Glue-managed Apache Iceberg tables or Glue-managed AWS S3 tables. The pattern of data federation used is called file federation. This connector is now generally available.

**Where:** This change applies to Data Cloud Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions. Not available in Government Cloud.

**When:** This functionality is available starting in June 2026.

**How:** In Data Cloud Setup, under Other Connectors, create a connection using the AWS Glue File Federation connector. Then in Data Streams, select the connection as your source.
