# Predict Future Trends with Time Series Forecasting (Generally Available)

Improve demand planning and revenue estimates by identifying trends and seasonality in your data with forecasting in Data 360. This capability is now generally available..

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Note This product is generally available in English only and beta in all other Salesforce supported languages.

**When:** This functionality is available starting in May 2026.

**Why:** Use an algorithm to predict future values based on a single historical variable, such as predicting future sales based on past sales data. For example, forecast these scenarios.

- - Predict units sold
    - Optimize inventory
    - Plan staffing for product launches and peak seasons

**How:** From Data 360, go to the Data Transform tab and create a batch data transform. Add your input data with a data model object (DMO), apply the **Forecast** AI function, and configure your data settings. When you run the transformation, Data 360 adds the forecast data to the DMO, which you review in the Data Model tab.
