# Manage Granular Financial Liabilities with Advanced Accruals

Get more control over your financial reporting by tracking granular rebate accruals independently of your payout schedules. With Advanced Accruals under Rebate and Accruals Management Advanced, you gain deep visibility into financial liabilities to ensure accurate forecasting as sales occur. Use manual adjustments to maintain total fiscal control and leverage granular tracking by member and rebate type to better understand incentive spend. These high-volume calculations are powered by high-performance Data Processing Engines (DPE) on Data 360.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

**Who:** This feature is available to users with the Rebate and Accruals Management Advanced permission.

**Why:** Separating accrual logic from payout schedules enables more frequent liability recognition (for example, monthly or weekly) even when payouts occur quarterly. This flexibility helps prevent financial surprises and improves P&L accuracy.

**How:** In Setup, enable the **Advanced Rebate and Accruals** preference. Configure independent accrual frequencies at the Rebate Program level and use Data 360 powered DPEs to automate accrual calculations and track them by accrual periods.
