# Notify Users with the Show Toast Message Action

Provide immediate feedback by showing non-intrusive status updates or error messages during flow screen transitions. This new declarative action shows a temporary toast message at the top of the viewport to keep your users informed without disrupting their current task. You can also include dynamic linking to Salesforce or an external page. You no longer need to create complex workarounds to communicate success or failure between screens.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

**How:** In the Properties panel, select **Show Toast Message**. Select the style of the message, how the user dismisses it, and what the text says.
