# Configure Multiple Task Escalations

Keep tasks on track with up to five escalations per standard or approval task. An escalation adds an additional user to the task as an assignee or carbon copy (CC) to make sure that the task stays on schedule. Escalations that occur before the due date show as reminders in the activity feed, notifications, and emails so you can tell them apart. Escalations respect business calendar hours, and assignees and CCs receive in-app notifications.

**Where:** This feature applies to an Agentforce Operations workspace that's external to Salesforce for an additional cost. To purchase an Agentforce Operations license, contact your Salesforce account executive.

**How:** In the Assigned to section of a standard or approval task, click **Add escalation**.
