# Prepare for Retirement of Own Archive Managed Package and Legacy Archive

Salesforce retires the Own Archive managed package and Legacy Archive products to prioritize a native archiving solution. The transition addresses scalability and error visibility limitations and improves performance. To maintain archiving capabilities, migrate to Archive 2.0 before the current subscription ends.

**When:** Renewals for the Own Archive managed package end May 4, 2026. Renewals for Legacy Archive end February 2, 2027.

**How:** Contact your account executive to begin the migration process to Archive 2.0.
