AI Relationship Research proactively identifies and analyzes the people and organizations connected to your Account, Contact, Lead, and Opportunity records. It searches across your CRM data, public web content, and Data 360 objects simultaneously, then displays the top eight prioritized connections as an interactive relationship graph directly on the record page. From the graph, you can create new Salesforce records from discovered entities, confirm suggested CRM matches, and pass relationship context to Agentforce for follow-up. Admins can configure which objects to research, which data sources to use, and which relationship types to prioritize.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.
Who: To use AI Relationship Research, your org needs an AI Relationship Research license, a provisioned Data 360 org, and Einstein Generative AI enabled. Assign the AI Relationship Research Admin permission set to admins who set up and configure the feature, and the AI Relationship Research User permission set to end users who generate and view relationship insights.
How: Admins complete setup before your users can generate insights. In Setup, admins prepare the org by provisioning Data 360, enabling Einstein Generative AI, and turning off data masking. After assigning permission sets, admins configure AI Relationship Research by selecting anchor objects, data sources, and relationship type priorities, then activate the configuration. Finally, admins add the AI Relationship Research component to Lightning Record Pages using Lightning App Builder and select the active configuration in the component properties. After the component is on the page, your users open a supported record and click Start Research to generate the relationship graph.
