# Complete Unarchive Operations When Owners Are Inactive

Complete unarchive operations even when the original record owner is inactive. Archive automatically assigns the record to the Integration User and retries the operation, eliminating manual reassignment steps.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with the Archive add-on license. This change applies to both Archive 2.0 and the Archive managed package.

**Why:** Previously, unarchive operations failed when the original record owner was inactive, requiring manual intervention to reassign ownership before retrying. This setting eliminates that manual step, helping unarchive operations complete successfully.

**How:** In Archive Settings, go to the **Unarchive** tab and select the **Integration User for Inactive Owners** checkbox. When enabled, Archive automatically assigns records to the Integration User when the original owner is inactive.
