# Manage External Client Apps Directly in Tableau Next

Create and manage External Client Apps (ECA) directly in the flow of your Tableau Next work. Reduce workflow friction by managing the authentication settings necessary for external embedding without leaving your Tableau Next admin flow. For example, quickly generate and copy a new client secret needed to embed a dashboard into your third-party app.

**Where:** This change applies to Tableau Next in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

**How:** In the Tableau Next app, click **Administration**. Click **External Client App** to create and manage your ECAs.
