Explore Metrics and Insights With and Without Agentforce for Analytics

Go from data to insights to action faster than ever in Tableau Next. When you follow metrics, those metrics and their associated insights become available in the metric details page and dashboards. Use filters and breakdowns to focus your view of the data. When Agentforce for Analytics is enabled, you can explore further by asking questions using Concierge: Analytics Q&A.

When Agentforce for Analytics and Concierge: Analytics Q&A are enabled in Tableau Next, you can explore your metric details and dashboards through natural conversation in the Agentforce panel. Ask questions about your data to get answers in the form of insights and relevant visualizations. For transparency, responses from the agent include the sources and reasoning used for analysis.

If you aren't using Agentforce, you can still track and evaluate business data that matters to you. Tableau Next automatically detects insights for a metric and displays visualizations to help you see your data. Explore suggested questions for detected insights in the Insights panel.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience with Data Cloud. Tableau Next is available in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

When: Available starting June 2025.

How: When Agentforce for Analytics and Concierge: Analytics Q&A are enabled in Tableau Next, admins can create analytics agents based on the Analytics and Visualization template.

Concierge: Analytics Q&A is available through the Analytics and Visualization template in Agentforce. This template uses the pre-built Data Analysis subagent with the default Analyze Data action to craft rich-text, natural language responses in Tableau Next that directly answer your questions about data.

Concierge: Analytics Q&A conversationally:

  • Answers questions in a session using the underlying data from the semantic model as a grounded source to query against and analyze.
  • Clarifies intent when it encounters complexity or ambiguity in a question to provide a better, more accurate response.
