# Preserve Formatting When Inserting Clauses

Clauses now retain their defined indentation, line spacing, lists, fonts, and other rich text formatting defined in the clause library when inserted into a document. Previously, inserting clauses into a Microsoft 365 template and contract document caused the document styles to override the clause’s original formatting.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions of Agentforce Revenue Management, formerly Revenue Cloud, with the Revenue Cloud Advanced license, or with the Salesforce Contracts license.

**Why:** Earlier template designers and contract authors had to fix alignment and formatting manually during template designing and contract editing, leading to inconsistent clause presentation. This enhancement preserves clause formatting unless authors or designers intentionally change it, reducing rework and keeping clause content consistent across templates and documents.
