Redirections end for legacy host names, including instanced host names in API calls. And if a third party serves your custom domain, update the target host name.

  • Update References to Legacy Host Names (Release Update)
Prevent disruption for your customers and end users when the temporary redirection of legacy (non-enhanced) Salesforce host names ends. With this release update, those redirections end in all orgs. First available in Spring ’25, this update is enforced in Spring ’26.
  • Replace Instanced URLs in API Traffic
To prevent disruption after infrastructure updates that change your instance name, replace instanced URLs in API traffic with your org’s My Domain login URL. Support for instanced URLs in API traffic ends in Winter ’27.
  • Switch to a Stable Target Host Name for Your Custom Domain
If a third-party service or content delivery network (CDN) serves your custom domain, simplify your maintenance. Work with your third-party provider to change the target host name to your org’s My Domain login URL.
  • A Warning Was Added for Potential Custom Domain Disruption
If your custom domain can experience disruption when you move to Salesforce Edge Network, you see a warning on the My Domain Setup page.
  • Regional Edge Routing Label Was Changed
To help you select a routing method for Salesforce Edge Network, the label for the regional method now includes your region name. The functionality and availability of this option are unchanged.
