# Security, Identity, and Privacy

Redirections end for legacy host names, including instanced host names in API calls. Connected app creation is disabled by default for all Salesforce orgs. Salesforce Backup & Recover is now a native app. And, Privacy Requests fulfill your customers' Right to Be Forgotten requests.

- **[Backup & Recover Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_bar.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Salesforce Backup & Recover Next is now a native app. Manage backups and recover data directly in your org with a refreshed user interface and automatic region detection.
- **[Domains](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_domains.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Redirections end for legacy host names, including instanced host names in API calls. And if a third party serves your custom domain, update the target host name.
- **[Identity and Access Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_auth_and_identity.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Connected app creation is disabled by default for all Salesforce orgs. The Salesforce-managed app for the X (formerly Twitter) auth provider is being retired. Create a Canvas app with an external client app. Migrate SAML-enabled connected apps to external client apps.
- **[Named Credentials](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_named_credentials.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Update or delete a named credential, an external credential, or an external auth identity provider from Apex. Named credentials added to a managed package are now developer controlled and can’t be updated.
- **[Health Check](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_health_check_changes.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Health Check now provides deeper insight by tracking seven new configurable security settings, including MFA status, SAML enablement, and session management controls. Users can also configure who receives notifications whenever your Salesforce security health check score changes.
- **[Privacy Center](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_privacy_center.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Explore Privacy Requests as a new way to fulfill Right to Be Forgotten (RTBF) requests from your customers. Additionally, you can now ignore object processing errors, bypass automations at the object or policy level, and manually customize batch sizes to optimize privacy policy job performance
- **[Salesforce Shield](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_shield.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Shield product enhancements make it easier for you to extend security policies to more of your data. Database Encryption is generally available in all regions. Data Detect now scans 100 objects and unlimited fields and Field Audit Trail storage limit increases from 60 to 200. Real-Time Event storage is turned on by default. The Shield app now has setup assistants and simpler access requirements.
- **[Security Center](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_security_center.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Optimize your security posture with centralized alerting across all tenants and enhanced visibility into Login Anomalies via dedicated dashboards. Gain deeper insights into permission assignments while streamlining response times through consolidated investigations and automated remediation plans.
- **[Other Security Changes](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_other_changes.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Quickly see the impact of each violation in the Trusted URL and Browser Policy Violations list.
