# Monitor Sandbox Copy Progress in Greater Detail with an Updated UI

The updated UI for sandbox copies and refreshes now provides a detailed visual progress bar and real-time status updates for each stage. Users gain greater insight and transparency into the process, enabling better tracking of sandbox progress and completion.

**Where:** This change applies to Salesforce Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

**When:** The new UI is available starting in April 2026. When it’s available, users can still temporarily revert to the old UI in Dev Hub Settings. This override will be available until the Winter ‘27 release.

**Who:** To create, refresh, activate, and delete a sandbox, you need the Manage Dev Sandbox (Developer or Developer Pro only) or Manage Sandboxes (all sandbox types) user permission.

**How:** From Setup, enter Sandboxes in the Quick Find box, then select Sandboxes. The new UI includes a visual progress bar indicating the current stage and an expandable section with helpful details for each stage of the process. After the copy completes, the visual progress bar changes to an indicator for when your next refresh will become available.
