# Salesforce Document Generation

Generate clearer documents with precise data by applying data filters, transformation logic, and richer token coverage. These updates help make sure that structured content, nested values, and line item details are present accurately. Generate large documents more efficiently, even when they include substantial content or complex formatting. Achieve consistent in-browser previews by using the hybrid file handling setting. Remove interim previews in Omniscripts to keep only the final version and reduce storage use.

- **[Filter Context Data for Document Generation](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sf_docgen_context_service.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Apply a context filter in the template designer so that generated documents include only the data that meets your criteria. Select from predefined filters that support up to 5 conditions to fetch precise and relevant data from your context definitions. Adding a filter at design time avoids extra inputs, reduces errors, and delivers consistent and high-quality document output. For example, filter order items to include only products priced above a certain threshold, and sort them by quantity so that the generated document highlights the most relevant items. Document Generation in the Omnistudio managed package doesn’t support Context Service.
- **[Transform Context Data Before Generating Documents](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sf_docgen_apex_plug_in.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Generate documents with clean, standardized, and business-ready data content by transforming the context data using the sample Apex plug-in. Run the Apex plug-in after context hydration to adjust formatting, grouping, string manipulation, token value changes, and other lightweight changes to meet business needs. This capability enables advanced transformation logic for scenarios that filtering alone can’t address. For example, transform flat line items into a bundle with child products so that the document shows each bundle with its related components. You can also group line items by category or region so that the document presents organized sections with related items together. Document Generation in the Omnistudio managed package doesn’t support this Apex plug-in.
- **[Generate Larger Documents with Expanded File Size Support](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sf_docgen_large_file_support.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Scale document generation to support larger outputs, generating single PDF, DOCX, or PPTX files up to 200 MB. This enhancement enables high-volume, media-rich, and evidence-heavy use cases and helps you generate complete documents in one pass without splitting content or assembling files outside Salesforce.
- **[Preview Documents by Using Hybrid Setting Across Contracts and Omniscripts](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sf_docgen_previewer.htm&release=260&type=5)**
The PDF document previewer provides secure in-browser previewing when you configure Salesforce file upload and download security settings. The PDF previewer now works with the hybrid file handling setting instead of relying only on the execute-in-browser option. The hybrid file handling setting improves preview consistency across browsers and Experience Cloud sites.
- **[Manage Preview Document Storage in Omniscripts](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sf_docgen_delete_icon.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Document reviews often involve regenerating the preview several times, resulting in multiple stored files and increased storage consumption. You can now easily discard intermediate previews by clicking the delete icon in Omniscripts to keep only the final version, reducing costs and achieving storage organization.
