# Salesforce Maps and Salesforce Maps Advanced

Map crucial proprietary and third-party data when you integrate it with your Salesforce data. Reveal sales opportunities on partner sites. And visualize planned field visits compared with past visit metrics.

- **[Control Access to Layers and Folders in Salesforce Maps](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_spm_maps_folder_permissions.htm&release=260&type=5)**
Folder permissions are centralized to make sure access control is consistent. Salesforce Maps automatically hides layers within restricted folders from search results, Recents lists, and Plot on Load. Also, new capacity limits are in place to optimize performance and to make sure that users only interact with authorized data.
- **[Gain Better Performance with the Enhanced Salesforce Maps Mobile Experience](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_spm_maps_retirement_mobile.htm&release=260&type=5)**
The enhanced mobile experience is now the default, improving performance and design consistency. Users switch automatically, but you can revert to the legacy version until its retirement in Summer ’26.
