Accurately monitor event and email syncing with detailed insights and reports on failure. Extend the scope of your Account, Contact, Opportunity, and Lead reports by integrating detailed email insights in your reports. Upgrade your Einstein Activity Capture's Microsoft Office 365 authentication to Graph API.
- Upgrade Microsoft 365 Authentication in Einstein Activity Capture to Microsoft Graph
Transition your Einstein Activity Capture’s Microsoft 365 authentication from Exchange Web Services (EWS) to Microsoft Graph, which is more modern, secure, and scalable. Microsoft is retiring EWS in October 2026, so switch to Microsoft Graph to avoid service disruption. Proactive notifications and a single-click tool make the migration process smooth. - Include Email Insights in Custom Report Types
Extend the scope of your Account, Contact, Opportunity, and Lead reports by integrating detailed email insights such as message type and content in your reports. Insights like these provide a more holistic view of your sales activities and help you stay on top of important customer communications. - Monitor Accurate Event and Email Sync with Detailed Metrics and Failure Reports
Get clear insights into event and email sync status with accurate metrics. For example, identify and resolve setup issues more effectively and improve user trust with sync failure reports. Starting Spring ’26, daily event sync time reports exclude no-operations events, which are non-meaningful changes that don’t update the event. By excluding events, such as onboarding and backfill events, the reports provide accurate sync metrics that reflect only meaningful changes. Salesforce admins can accurately assess whether significant events process within published performance times. - Make Captured Emails Available as Activity Data by Updating Einstein Activity Capture
Use an option in Setup to update Einstein Activity Capture and migrate previously captured email to Salesforce activity data. With this update and migration, all new email data and previously captured email data are synced, stored, and available as activity data. This update and migration makes email data available to platform tools and operations. After you start the update and migration process, it runs and is completed automatically. - Set Unique Thresholds for Automatic Contact Creation from Emails and Events
Automatic contact creation from email and calendar events is now available with Sync Email as Salesforce Activity. We’ve added separate thresholds for emails and events to improve this setting, giving you control over contact creation based on the context of user interaction. For example, set a higher threshold for emails (three or four interactions) and a lower threshold for events (one meeting) to prioritize capturing contacts who are actively building relationships with sales reps. Like before, the new contact record is associated with an existing relevant account record. - Enhance Contact Records Automatically with Sync Email as Salesforce Activity
Automatic Contact Enhancement is now available if Sync Email as Salesforce Activity is turned on. Automatic Contact Enhancements uses generative AI to scan users’ email activity for important buyer details. Salesforce automatically updates contact records with information such as seniority level, department group, and other buyer attributes. This feature saves sales reps time on manual data entry and helps maintain content-rich profiles for more accurate buyer relationship maps. - Automatically Relate New Contacts to Past Email and Event Records with Sync Email as Salesforce Activity
Sales reps now see important relationship information directly on their records instead of only in the activities timeline. When a contact or lead is created, Salesforce automatically associates it with relevant email and event activity from the past 30 days. Manually and automatically creating a new contact or lead triggers this matching process. - Event Data Is Now Stored on the Salesforce Platform
Event data synced through Einstein Activity Capture is now stored on the platform. This update is automatic and requires no action on your part. Meeting invitees included in past events who don’t have a contact, lead, or user record no longer appear in Meeting Digest. However, invitees without records included in upcoming events appear in Meeting Digest. Also, users outside of an Einstein Activity Capture configuration no longer see event data on the activity timeline. If you move these users into a configuration, data from the previous 180 days populates their timeline. - Access More Einstein Activity Capture Standard Seats
Support your growing sales teams by providing a matching number of Einstein Activity Capture Standard seats for every Sales Cloud license. This update removes the previous 100-seat limit per org, so now, all your users can sync their email, calendar, and contact data. Larger teams can migrate from Lightning Sync to Einstein Activity Capture without leaving users behind. - Move All Einstein Activity Capture Users into a Configuration
Simplify your workflow and manage Einstein Activity Capture users in one place by adding them to a configuration. Users in the configuration also get access to upcoming features and improvements. Take action now to identify who can continue to have access to Einstein Activity Capture and move only those users into a configuration. If you don’t move users into a configuration, we’ll automatically create a configuration and move all users outside of a configuration into it. - Synced Calendar Overlay Is Retiring
If Show Synced and Captured Events is turned on, Einstein Activity Capture users access a view-only copy of events from Microsoft or Google on their Calendar. Some customers mistook the view-only events as duplicate calendar entries, so we’re retiring this feature. - Prepare for Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, and Activities Analytics Dashboard Retirement
Before these tools retire, we recommend turning on Sync Email as Salesforce Activity for Einstein Activity Capture and configuring reports to explore data captured from email.
