Bring activities into your custom Lightning Web Components (LWC) by leveraging the User Interface API’s support for Task and Event objects. Now, instead of manually coding layouts, security settings, and other metadata from scratch, quickly build a custom LWC that automatically syncs with your existing configurations. With User Interface API support for Task and Event objects, you can also include activities in screen flow record fields.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions and in Professional Edition with API access enabled.
Why: We delivered this feature due to your idea on IdeaExchange. Although the Task and
Event objects have full support within screen flows, these objects aren’t yet available
for Dynamic Forms, list views, or standard flows. And, the
IsRecurringSet and IsReminderSet fields on the
Task object aren’t supported in the User Interface API.
When: This feature was rolled out to customer sandboxes in February 2026. The rollout to production begins on April 13, 2026 and is expected to be completed by mid-May, 2026.
