Other Changes in Sales

Review and anticipate other changes that can impact your sales team.

  • Update Tasks and Events in Lightning Web Components with the User Interface API
Bring activities into your custom Lightning Web Components (LWC) by leveraging the User Interface API’s support for Task and Event objects. Now, instead of manually coding layouts, security settings, and other metadata from scratch, quickly build a custom LWC that automatically syncs with your existing configurations. With User Interface API support for Task and Event objects, you can also include activities in screen flow record fields.
  • Salesforce to Salesforce Is Being Retired (Release Update)
Salesforce to Salesforce is being retired in Spring ’27. Salesforce has more powerful and integrated solutions that align with modern business needs. To prevent disruption when Salesforce ends support for the Salesforce to Salesforce product, make sure that you migrate your integrations to one of these recommended solutions: Partner Cloud, Data Cloud One, MuleSoft Anypoint, or MuleSoft for Flow.
  • New Sales Dialer Licenses Are No Longer Available
New Sales Dialer licenses aren’t available for customers to purchase. We are planning to retire features and functionality for the product in the future.
  • Include Records from any Account on Account Plan Objectives
Support sales account plans across account hierarchies by associating records from different accounts to an Account Plan Objective. Previously, you were limited to associating records linked directly to the account plan's primary account. Now, to build more comprehensive account plans, search for and add relevant records from any account. We delivered this feature due to your idea on IdeaExchange.
  • Sales Pages Optimized for Salesforce Lightning Design System 2
To align with the new Salesforce Lightning Design System 2 (SLDS 2) Salesforce Cosmos theme, we implemented style updates across several Sales pages. Get an enhanced user experience, particularly when you use SLDS 2 or dark mode. They’re also visible when you use an SLDS 1 theme.
  • Sales Engagement Data Is Now Native to The Salesforce Platform
Sales Engagement metrics for new customers are stored natively on the Salesforce Platform. For existing customers, data migration is scheduled to begin in June. With this change, the Sales Engagement Performance dashboard will be deprecated in October. Metrics are shown in a custom report instead.
