# Automate UI Testing for Omniscripts and Flexcards

Omnistudio now supports comprehensive UI testing for guided experiences and visual components by using the UI Test Automation Model (UTAM) framework. UTAM improves deployment reliability by validating end-to-end workflows. Write UI-driven tests for Omniscripts and Flexcards that validate full user journeys exactly as they appear on screen. UTAM interacts directly with the interface to test user inputs, navigation, actions, data rendering, and visual states.

**Where:** This change applies to [Aura and LWR sites](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.exp_cloud_basics_glossary.htm&type=5&language=en_US) accessed through Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions where Omnistudio is enabled.

**Who:** This feature is available to Omnistudio customers who use the standard runtime and standard designer.

**Why:** UTAM offers these key benefits:

- Abstracts Document Object Model (DOM) changes to keep UI tests stable, even when platform updates modify layouts.
- Simulates real user interactions across Omnscripts and Flexcards for end-to-end validation, from data entry to conditional logic.
- Uses Page Object Model (POM) to organize reusable Page Objects (POs), simplifying test creation and maintenance.

**How:** To use UTAM for automated UI testing, first install and configure your preferred test runner (for example, WebDriverIO or TestNG) to work with the UTAM framework. Next, leverage the Omnistudio UTAM POs to create custom POs for your Omniscripts or Flexcards, abstracting common UI elements, such as steps, inputs, and buttons. Then, build your test scripts on top of these custom POs by using helper methods to launch the Omniscript, set field values, and perform navigation actions. Finally, verify that the end-to-end user journey, validations, and element behaviors work as expected.
