Optimize Search Experience with Consistent Data Display

Criteria-Based Search and Filter (CBSF) now provides a more intuitive and reliable search experience with consistent data display and clear visibility into when data was last updated. Date-time fields appear in the user’s timezone using standard Salesforce formatting, and currency fields display symbols instead of codes. Any Word Search is enabled by default in all orgs, and users can view the Last Refreshed Date for search results, enhancing clarity and efficiency.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience editions of Automotive Cloud, Health Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, and Public Sector Solutions where Criteria-Based Search and Filter is enabled.

Who: This feature is available to users with the Criteria-Based Search and Filter system permission.

How: These changes are automatically applied to the CBSF user interface, including the use of local timezone formatting for date-time fields (e.g., 10/25/2024, 2:36 PM) and currency symbols (e.g., $) instead of currency codes.

For administrators, to enable the Last Refreshed Date display, link the searchable object configuration to the Data Processing Engine (DPE) that populates the flat entity data. The date will then appear at the top of the search results.
