# New and Updated Connect REST APIs for Promotions (Beta)

Simplify the sales workflow by verifying and applying discounts accurately by using details of eligible promotions.

Retrieve eligible promotions for specific line items within a quote or an order

Make a POST request to the `/revenue/transaction-management/sales-transactions/actions/get-eligible-promotions` resource.

New request body: Get Promotions Info Input

New response body: Eligible Promotions List

## Changed Connect REST API Request Bodies

The request bodies of Categories List, Category Details, Guided Selection, Products List, and Global Search APIs of Product Discovery have changes to use applicable promotions.

Category Details Input, Category List Input, Guided Selection Input, Product List Input, and Products Search Input

These request bodies have this new property.

- `usePromotions`—Indicates whether to fetch eligible promotions from Global Promotion Management (GPM) for the requested category and its products.

## Changed Connect REST API Response Bodies

The response bodies of Categories List, Category Details, Guided Selection, Products List, and Global Search APIs of Product Discovery have changes to fetch applicable promotions.

CPQ Base List, CPQ Base Details, and Guided Selection

These response bodies have this new property.

- `eligiblePromotions`—Specifies the details of applicable promotions for the requested category and its products. This property is visible within the `result` property node.
